Director of Sales Development – Wind Group

Position Objective:

Seeking an individual with a collaborative and solution-based approach to sales who, with the support of Wind Group senior leadership, will identify, develop and promote new customer opportunities which lead to increased revenues for the organization. The position will be the point person in developing new business allowing for a more diversified customer and product base while maintaining the current book of business.  Work with sales leadership within the corporation to assure we meet overall company standards and expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop potential customers in Wind Energy, utilizing primarily vacuum infusion processes and assembly (blades, nacelles, in plant blade repair, field services for inspection, repair and maintenance of composite wind turbine parts).
  • Identification, development and market development of opportunities utilizing plant process capabilities. 
  • Work with current customer base to enhance and increase revenues.
  • Develop and implement appropriate sales and marketing strategies.
  • Attend industry shows as identified to maintain a state-of-the-art baseline by which potential new business and products will be benchmarked upon.
  • Negotiate or support the negotiations of all long-term contracts and/or agreements.
  • Function as the recognized market expert within the company for all targeted markets.
  • Develop necessary sales business plans with the appropriate General Manager and Sr Vice President.
  • Create brand identification and marketing efforts under the corporate umbrella to generate market recognition.
  • Miscellaneous assignments as required.

  • Home based position supporting multiple manufacturing locations

Qualifications:

  • Education:  BS in Engineering and/or MBA in Sales and Marketing preferred
  • Experience:  7-10 years of experience with Engineered Product Sales
  • Preferred skills:  Composite parts background preferred
  • Position requires 50-75% travel
